Calling in Sick

This has not been a fun week for me or Rolan. First thing Monday morning Rolan had to get his 4 month shots. The last time he had shots, we had just gotten out of the hospital, so the shots were nothing. At least they weren't trying to take any more blood! But now we've been at home snuggling for two months so the shots seemed much worse. He was much more irritated about them. And just as he was getting over that, we both got sick. It started with him sniffling and coughing a bit, and then my throat got all swollen on me. Yesterday I couldn't put him down at all without him throwing a fit. Today is a bit better, but being sick is not fun at all. Its not like I can call in sick for work. My work lives with me. Luckily, today he's mostly in good spirits. I wasn't sure what to do at first though. I can't exactly put chicken soup in his bottle, now can I?

Actually, there's something in chicken soup that really is healing, it's not just a taste-gooder. You could put some clear broth in his bottle and see what happens. He might love it. Is he on any solids yet? Brandon ate early and Clayton wasn't interested in food for quite a while. (of course, I nursed him the longest as well). Sorry for the late post. Hope you're both better now.
