Guess who's rollin?

Rolan's rollin'. Today he rolled over for the first time, tummy to back. He's rolled over his right side about 4 or 5 times, and over his left once. I was very excited. If you have a cell phone, chances are you got a text message from me about it.

We had an interesting Valentine's day. I spent the day at my grandma's house, and on my way home I stopped by my mom's because Clayton had to drive to Vallejo to give the snakes away. I got home a little before 8:00, and as soon as I got onto the porch there was this incredibly loud noise that I can't really describe. It was so unidentifiable that it scared me, and then Clayton yelled "get in the house!" at me which shook me up even more. Turns out the sound was the transciever (transponder? transformer?) on the power line, right in front of our house. A drunk driver down the street didn't quite make the turn onto our street and rolled into a parked car and the power line. What scared me the most is that if I had left my mom's house two minutes later I would have been in the middle of that accident. Fifteen minutes later the power went out, and stayed out until 5am. I left to go get some batteries for our radio and pick up some dinner. Most stores I went to were closed because they had lost power. I picked up some sushi and when I came back Clayton had gotten Rolan to sleep, so we had a candle lit dinner (and a candle lit game of gin rummy). It turned out to be a really nice evening.

Crazy crazy crazy- close calls happen all the time- I'm glad you and little bum made it home at just the right time! :-) Cannot stand to hear all of the landmarks Rolan is going through and still not have been able to see him in person yet! ARG (would tear hairs out- but Sabine has allready done enough of that to last me untill next lifetime!) My tummy is kicking so hard I must leave the computer now! xoxoxox :-)

I'm glad you're both enjoying these fun milestones with Rolan. Are you recording in a baby book?
