Shameless Self-Promotion

Apparently being a mother has made me quite crafty. Along with gaining stretch marks I have also acquired a creative urge. And here, is where I'm going to show them off. Why? Cause I toot my own horn.

This is a giraffe I've been putting together. Its close to being done (not in this picture, obviously). I cut out all the body parts, made the squares and sewed them on. Clayton built me a wood frame, and then I stapled on foam, put the body parts on and stuffed it. All I have to do now is sew the eyelashes on and hand sew all the parts together.

I copied this from Green Eggs and Ham by pencil and then painted it with acrylics. This is my favorite page from that book.

These are four little canvas squares with jungle animals doing human activities. And just so you don't have to guess, the giraffe is wearing water wings.

This is a family collage I just put together.

This is the first (and last) quilt I ever made. I used a bunch of Rolan's receiving blankets since they were getting too small for him and I have a ton. I designed about 12 different blankets on graph paper before Clayton and I voted on this one.


I've also been working on a scrapbook since Rolan was born. I'm almost done with his 0-6 month one and I haven't started a new one yet... I'm very behind. Clayton and I also just bought the wood for the growth chart I'm going to paint for Rolan's room. And now with our fantastic new living quarters, I have room for all my art supplies!
