BAM!
Anyway. We're all moved into our new house. It feels huge. We're still slowly unpacking stuff but for the most part we're settled in. Next is the task of having a garage sale. I had an epiphany: have a garage sale BEFORE moving. Hindsight = 20/20.
Rolan gets bigger every day. He has 6 teeth and likes to stand up. He still isn't crawling. I think he'll figure out how to crawl one day and move onto walking the next. He's getting good at doing things on demand: waving, clapping, giving kisses, and doing the "Stevie Wonder". I bought him his first pair of shoes yesterday. I bought some Robeez-knock-offs because I can't get hard-soled shoes on his feet to save my life. But after he got a couple of splinters in his heel I figured it was time for some protection! When I put them on he scrapes his feet on the ground and rubs his feet together trying to get them off.
The Fourth of July was eventful. I was so excited for Rolan to watch the fireworks, but we ended up watching a fire instead. We went to our friend's house near the Marina and someone shot a flare into the tree across the street. It caught fire (I mean, REALLY caught fire) and the fire department came and put it out. My car got hosed, and it was fun to watch until the wind changed directions and started blowing all the smoke right at us. It was our cue to go home. Rolan was overstimulated and tired anyway.
I am sure I could type more but my stomach has informed me that it is way past my dinnertime and I better get on it.

Congrats on the internet! I was so glad to get service in my apartment after I moved. I didn't realize how dependent I am on having access to the outside world that way.
Rolan looks great. Btw, what's the "Stevie Wonder"? Mom
