Little Santa

Rolan was sick on Christmas Eve, he threw up and slept until 1:00pm. He bounced back quickly though and we had a great evening at my mom's house with Mom, Rob, Kelsey, Clayton, Nana, Larry, and Nancy. We opened a few presents and had a good dinner. Rolan fell asleep early. The next morning we slept in and then opened presents from Maryland :). Then we headed back over to Mom's house for breakfast. Rolan played Santa and passed out almost every gift. After that Kelsey and I went to see the Day the Earth Stood Still (which was okay). We had a lovely, low-key holiday.

Getting Ready for Christmas

We got a package from Rolan's wonderful Grammy and Auntie Chantel, and Rolan was kind enough to put the presents under the tree. He is so gentle with the Christmas tree, and mostly very gentle with the presents (I cut the video when I did because I thought he was going to stomp on one of the gifts... but he didn't). I'm so excited about Christmas time, I love having family dinners and staying up late together and then waking up early to open gifts together. This year I expect Rolan to throw wrapping paper and tissue paper around like its confetti, which will just add to the festivities. Since it doesn't snow here on Christmas.... And also, I found a picture of Clayton all dressed up for the holidays! Doesn't he look great?
I love my Scrooge. I love my family. I love Christmas.

First Haircut

Alright its about time I wrote something on here. The family is doing well, Rolan is getting bigger and smarter everyday. We went down to Porterville for Thanksgiving and had a great time until the way back, when one of my tires blew out. But we all made it back in one piece. I just found out my grandpa's cancer is all gone, so I'm very excited about that! I've been busy crafting for Christmas, I've just about got everything done. I'm going to the Dancing with the Stars tour on Friday with my mom and Kelsey, and I can't wait. Today Rolan and I stayed home all day and watched the rain and hail. We had to get creative since we couldn't go outside, so I spent a good 20 minutes pulling him around in one of his toy boxes. We also set up the Christmas tree. Its just the little fake one from last year, but I couldn't bear to not have one at all. When Clayton got home we took Rolan to get his first haircut. Rolan HATED it. But his hair looks so cute and its not in his eyes anymore. Rolan is saying quite a few words now, including: hi, bye-bye, mama, dada, papa, nana, cheese, shoes, good, yeah, and gecko.
